Mason Greenwood will receive an additional £8m from Manchester United if he remains at the club until 2025.

Greenwood signed a four-and-a-half-year contract in 2021 after making the first-team debut under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The English striker last play for United in January 2022, before the club imposed an indefinite ban. after being arrested for rape and assault

The 21-year-old’s charge was dropped in February. But the club continues to conduct an internal investigation into the matter.

During this time, Greenwood was not allowed to return to training at the club. But still receiving wages of 75,000 pounds per week

Greenwood is free to return to football since the allegations against him have drop. But the player has reportedly told people close to him that he will likely not play for Manchester United again.

It is believed that Manchester United are willing to send the forward on loan. And there are many clubs in Europe interested, especially Juventus and AC Milan, who see the quality of this footballer.

Mason Greenwood has given a provisional trial date in November 2023 to face charges of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour.

The Manchester United footballer made an appearance at Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday for his latest hearing.

Jason Pitter KC, prosecuting, asked for a case management hearing to be held on February 10 next year.

A trial date was set for November 27 2023, with the case expected to last 10 days.

Pleas to the charges were not entered, with the hearing lasting 10 minutes.

Judge Maurice Greene granted Greenwood bail with the same conditions as he was under before.

The player was first held in January over allegations relating to a woman after images and videos were posted online.

He was baile but was arrested in October for allege breach of conditions.
